Blacksmith VI. Credits Introduction Archer is the ranged class in the game Rakion. It is meant for killing people from a far, supporting your team, and annoying your enemies. Most people will not pick archer as their first characters because it is a fairly easy character to lose with if your not familiar with it. Being able to play Archer well is something that is learned by practice. But just in case you don’t know what path to go down as an Archer I am here to help. Building the Archer This guide is meant for someone who has power user and has 30 power user bonus points. It would take a long time to make this character without the 30 bonus points you gain from the power card. This will tell you what points to put it in from level 1 and beyond. In the beginning you will have a total of 30 bonus points for your Archer. Add all 30 points into your ranged attack. After placing your points on range start playing as much golem games as you can. Since you are in 1-10 games, assuming that you have experience with playing as an archer, you will get to level 11 fairly easily. During these 1-10 games you will learn much more about archer, but be advised that 1-10 games playing strategy is much different than those games above it. Once you get to level 8 you should have completed your ranged attribute. You should also have 1 point left over. Put that 1 extra point into your movement speed and keep putting the rest in movement speed. When you hit level 11 don’t keep playing golem games but instead play the following stages: Discovery of Temple 1, Maze of Thora 1, Cozy Tower 1, Maze of Thora 2, Cozy Tower 2, Forbidden Area 1, Cozy Tower 3, Sound of War 2, Caloff Iron Mine 2, and Holy Spring 1. Assuming that you get an S on all of those stages you should be somewhere around level 14. In between level 17 to level 30 make sure that you put 15 points into Cell Points because this will allow you to summon your golems fairly easier. By the time you get to level 30 you should have completed your movement speed. After completing range and movement speed you’re now a full golem archer. It is your choice on what points to put into and it is your choice on which direction as a golem archer you are headed. If you put points start putting points into cell destruction then you can become an offensive golem archer. If you place points into your armor then you will become a defensive golem archer. Both work very well, although the offensive golem archer would be best after you max your armor because people will most likely maul you from time to time. Buying the equipment Level 17- Buy 2 golems and 3 Pain of Cell Rings. This allows you to have 12 percent cell reduction for summoning your golems. Added with your power user you will have a total of 27 percent cell reduction. Level 20- Buy the Two Moons Amulet which will allow you to have 52 percent cell reduction allowing you to summon your golems fairly easily, and it also gives you a nice 9 second Chaos time bonus. Level 21- Buy your Knight Bracer and Pauldron. These do not give you a decrease in movement speed like your Knight Armor. Level 25- Buy your Waclock Body Armor and Helm. The Helm cost way lower than the Knight Helm, and the body armor does not decrease your movement speed. Level 35- Buy your dragon. This will help you a lot during games, or it can make you lag a lot. Good graphics card = buy, bad graphics card = buy another golem. Level 41- Buy your Nightmare knife and bow. Buy your Homen helm and your Homen Bracer. Level 45- Buy your Runet Pauldron. Level 46- Buy your Runet Body Armor. Afterwards when you reach level 61 and you’re still not bored of your archer and you think master equipment looks, cool buy it. Tips on playing the Golem Archer • Predict your enemy’s movements when you are getting chased in a 1 on 1. • Be quick when you are firing your arrow, holding it too long could mean immediate ownage to your health and armor. • Always fight in open spaces never in enclosed areas. • Never take on more than 1 person unless they are really bad. • Always keep close to your base and be prepared for a golem block. • If you do get the Golden Golem Sword use a golem block to stop opponents or to prevent their attacks. • Always keep moving while spamming arrows, not moving and staying in one area can result in death. Unless you know that you and your current opponent are the only ones left. • When mages are present always watch out for them, because an archer’s habit to stay put from time to time will result in your archer getting owned. • Always watch out for pro-ninjas because you will be their main target. When fighting a pro-ninja at least have back up, because Archer has the highest disadvantage against them. Archer Vs. Ninja Well what can I say, except that you will most likely have your work cut out for you. The top skill level of an archer in a 1 on 1 game cannot even match the top skill of a ninja in a 1 on 1 game. When a ninja is trying to stun grip you they will usually hit you more than once with there Jiite so try to block the second one and escape. If you try and run away you will get an unhealthy backstab. So unless you know you can beat a ninja without any help then don’t look for a fight against them. This is your number one hardest enemy to beat. Archer Use your block often when fighting another archer. When predicting another archer’s movements try to hit a lesser distance than that of ordinary characters because archers will usually stop midway and fire an arrow. Keep your eye on the archer to tell which way that archer is shooting and avoid the arrow. Archers utilize the Range Bug the most so watch out, you might get arrow lagged to death. In a 1 on 1 game with another archer let them shoot their arrow first and immediately react with your own arrows if they miss. If they are not firing first then fire a shot that they will not react to quickly and shoot back immediately afterwards. In Covolt Peak use your lunge attack to knock archers out of the top level. Even if they block they will get knocked off still, and this will annoy archers a lot. Archers are the 2nd hardest enemy for another archer to fight. Swordsman Watch out for swordsmen because they move just as fast as ninjas. Most high leveled swordsman will have full attack speed and movement speed. Their attacks will come fast and they will predict your movement easily, and strike back fast because of their high movement speed. Mediocre swordsmen moves are very easy to predict. All you have to do is predict, dodge, move, and so forth. When against a pro swordsman then try to predict the opposite of what you are predicting. For example, when the swordsman is heading towards your right and you fire that direction they will see your shot coming. The swordsman will then stutter and quickly step to your left for major pwnage. Always try to predict the opposite of where you think that swordsman is going. Never get trapped between a wall and another swordsman with high attack and movement speed. Try not to run away against a pro swordsman because chances are their movement speed is full and they will catch you. Always fight in open areas where you will have plenty of room to maneuver in. Swordsmen are the 3rd hardest characters for an archer to beat. Mage When left on their own the mage will give you life times of pain and suffering. Their fireballs will cause you death, their bombs will give you pain, and their ice projection will give you a reason to keep moving. When against a mediocre mage always keep moving in an unpredictable pattern and never underestimate mediocre mages. Underestimating will usually end with you stun gripped, Iced, or get hit with a stick. Against Pro mages predicting will be key to you winning. Pro Mages will move quickly towards you, and move in a hard pattern to predict. You have a disadvantage against mages because of there short stature, so watch out and be careful. Mages rank 4th as hardest enemies to fight, and rank 1st in most annoying. Perhaps your biggest advantage against mages is that their stick is rather short, meaning you can easily “out-bug them” because their stick is so short it is quite difficult to make it past the “archer bug.” Blacksmith These guys are so hard to kill because of their high starting armor and health. Smiths will last very long when fighting against an archer. The longer smiths last then the higher the chance that you get killed or badly wounded. Rage smiths are your number one enemies out of any other builds for blacksmiths, because they are fast and ruthless. Their attack delay is low enough that you might actually miss a counter attack with your arrow. Predicting a smiths movements is pretty easy because they are big and most of the time slow. Pro smiths will usually end up trying to kill your master golem in golem wars with their jump attack. The blacksmiths jump attack is considered a ranged attack so they will have the ranged bug with them. Predicting where the smith will land is necessary to killing a golem-killing smith. Blacksmiths are the 5th hardest characters to beat in 1 on 1 games. Simply wait for them to make some mistake (they tend to be clumsy and slow) and then shoot them.
